Mathematics is a passion of mine that has been with me from an early age. As early as primary school, my teachers told me that mathematical tasks could provoke intense thinking in me – from the furrowing of my brow at a puzzle to the smile on my face after solving it. As a teenager, I helped not only my peers but also younger family members by introducing them to the fascinating world of numbers. My maths adventure took me to England, where I not only honed my language skills, but also gained new skills working with children with individual learning needs. This experience has deepened my understanding of the different needs of students. As an experienced tutor, I offer one-to-one and group tuition in Maths in English, preparing students for SATS, GCSE and NVQ exams. I get great satisfaction from seeing them develop not only mathematically, but also in terms of their confidence and commitment to school. I am currently broadening my knowledge by studying Psychology, which I hope will enable me to work more effectively with the individual needs of my students. The next step in my educational journey is to seek out passionate teachers from different backgrounds who are willing to share their knowledge and inspiration with others.
